Why ZapRemit works
🔒

Non-custodial

Your funds go directly from your wallet to theirs. ZapRemit never holds your money.

Under 1 second

Arc's deterministic finality means money arrives before you put your phone down.

💸

Save $300+ a year

At 0.1% vs 6% average, someone sending $500/month saves over $300 every year.

Our Mission

Money should arrive
as fast as a text.

280 million migrant workers send money home every month. They lose 5–8% to banks and transfer services. On a $500 transfer that's $360 a year — money that should feed families, not fund middlemen. ZapRemit is here to end that.

How it works

Three steps. Under a second.

No bank account needed. No paperwork. No waiting in line.

01

Connect your wallet

Open ZapRemit and connect any EVM wallet — MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, Trust Wallet, and more. Your wallet stays in your control at all times. We never ask for your private key or seed phrase.

02

Enter amount and recipient

Choose your currency — SAR, AED, QAR, USD, or others. Select the destination currency your family wants to receive. Enter their wallet address. The app instantly shows exactly how much arrives and what you save vs Western Union.

03

Hit Send

Confirm in your wallet. The transaction settles on Arc Network in under 1 second. Your family's wallet shows the funds immediately. You get a transaction receipt with a link to the blockchain explorer so you can verify it yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ZapRemit?
ZapRemit is a cross-border remittance app built on Arc Network. It lets migrant workers send money home from Gulf countries or the US to their families in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America — instantly, with near-zero fees. All transfers move as USDC on Arc's blockchain and are converted to local currency at both ends.
Is it safe? Who holds my money?
ZapRemit is non-custodial. That means we never hold your money. When you hit Send, the transaction goes directly from your wallet to the recipient's wallet on Arc Network. We are just the interface — the blockchain does the transfer. You can verify every transaction on ArcScan at any time.
What wallets are supported?
ZapRemit supports all major EVM-compatible wallets including MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, Zerion, Backpack, Brave Wallet, OKX Wallet, Exodus, Bitget, and more. Any wallet that supports custom EVM networks will work.
How are exchange rates calculated?
Exchange rates are calculated in two steps. First, your local currency (e.g. SAR) is converted to USDC using the current FX rate. Then, USDC is converted to the recipient's local currency (e.g. BDT) at the current market rate. Arc Network's built-in FX engine handles the settlement. Rates shown are approximate and update regularly.
What does the 0.1% fee cover?
The 0.1% fee covers ZapRemit's operating costs. On top of that, Arc Network charges a tiny gas fee in USDC — usually less than $0.001 per transaction. Compare this to Western Union or bank transfers which charge 5–8%. On a $500 transfer, you save roughly $25–40 every single time.
Does the receiver need a crypto wallet?
Currently yes — the receiver needs an EVM-compatible wallet address on Arc Network to receive funds. We are working on a cash-out integration for mainnet that will allow receivers to withdraw to their local bank account or mobile money app without needing a crypto wallet.
Is this on mainnet?
ZapRemit is currently running on Arc Testnet. This means all transactions use testnet USDC — no real money moves yet. We are building toward mainnet launch alongside Arc Network's mainnet release in 2026. Testnet lets you explore the full experience safely before real funds are involved.
How do I get testnet USDC?
Visit arc.network and use the testnet faucet to claim free testnet USDC. You can also bridge from Sepolia testnet using Arc's CCTP bridge. Once you have testnet USDC in your wallet, you can use ZapRemit to test the full send flow.

Technical Overview

🔗 Built on Arc Network

Arc is Circle's stablecoin-native Layer-1 blockchain. It uses USDC as the native gas token, settles transactions in under 1 second with deterministic finality, and is EVM-compatible — meaning any Ethereum-compatible wallet or tool works on Arc out of the box.

💵 Why USDC as the settlement layer

All ZapRemit transfers move as USDC on Arc. USDC is a regulated, fully-backed dollar stablecoin issued by Circle — the same company that built Arc. Using USDC means no price volatility during transit, predictable gas costs, and seamless integration with Arc's native infrastructure.

🔒 Security model

ZapRemit is a pure frontend application. It never stores your private keys, never holds funds, and never has custody of your assets. All transaction signing happens inside your wallet. Smart contract interactions are limited to standard ERC-20 USDC transfers — the most audited contract type in existence.
